I'm pretty sure that's an undulata, but honestly, I'm not entirely sure - I got a bunch of different crypts when I started and didn't keep track. Silver dollars just don't seem to like java fern, but personally, I think it's a great plant - super low maintenance and easy to propagate. I've actually got java fern in all my tanks now, and I'm really enjoying experimenting with plants and aquascaping.rockyfox wrote: ↑Sun Apr 03, 2022 5:40 am I was just updating on my tank's progress and I noticed your comment about my crypts. The one in the last photo is actually a Cryptocoryne wendtii, and I'm glad you like it. To answer your question, I didn't say I don't like java ferns, I said my silver dollars don't like them - they just won't eat them. I actually think java ferns are great plants, but they just don't work for my silvers. Thanks for the compliment on my aquariums, I'm glad you like them.

Your planted tanks are really impressive, and I'm glad to see you're having success with silver dollars in them. Not many people can pull that off, and some folks even think it's impossible.
I like your group of Metynnis lippincotkento4us. Have you had other Metynnis species in planted tanks? How did that work out for you? I've got a couple of planted silver dollar tanks myself, a 110g and a 75g. I've had a few other tanks in the past, and I've got pictures.
- 115g, 6footer - Three Metynnis species (1 altidorsalis, 4 lippincotkento4us, 3 maculatus) - This one was set up from scratch in September 2021.
- 75g, 4footer - 4 Metynnis fasciatura, Colombkento4 tetras & neons - This one's been running for 4 years, but it's going through a transition after a long battle with BlackBeardAlgae - that's now resolved.
Cheers!
