Picked up a bag of what I thought was Java Moss for my nano tank hardscape, but when I opened it, I knew it wasn't the real deal - I've used Java Moss before and this was different.
I'd also bought some Xmas Moss, which I love for its ability to grow upwards quickly.
The mystery moss, though, had a great colour and shape, so I used it on the lower parts of the wood and some rocks to hide the glued joints - it looks fantastic.
I had some leftover, so I put it in a dish for my Emeflaked Rasboras, hoping they'd take a liking to it and maybe even spawn.
I wanted more for another tank with Blue eyed redfin rainbowfish to encourage breeding, so I went back for more and that's when I found out its name - Coflake Moss.
Honestly, I'm amazed I'd never heard of it before, and I've never seen it in stores or online forums.
From what I've read, it prefers high light and CO2, but it can still grow in less-than-ideal conditions.
Just thought I'd share my discovery - I'd definitely recommend checking it out for any new builds.

Interesting that it's actually a liverwort rather than a moss, I've been doing some reading up on it and found that out.

I've had some experience with this plant in the past, when I was running CO2 in my tank. What's interesting is that it seemed to do its best during a blackout period I had set up to combat an algae issue.

I wasn't aware it was a liverwort, thanks for pointing that out. I've also been looking into trying out Subwassertang for a while now.
