Hey All,
I've been reading up on this forum and others about maintaining "normal discus behavior", but to be honest, I'm still unsure what that really means, especially in a glass cage. My fish are pretty territorial, they spawn, pair off, and defend themselves and their mates. They even shimmy and shake to entice breeding, and they love swimming around and through the driftwood. I've noticed some of them claim their own side and territory, while others don't seem to care.
One thing that's caught my attention is that they don't really school like some other fish, and they don't swim back and forth in a repetitive pattern. They also have a weird habit of eating each other's eggs, and sometimes even their own eggs.
So, what exactly is "normal" behavior for discus in a home aquarium? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!!!

I think I should clarify that discus are shoaling fish. Not schooling fish, there's a difference. You can look it up if you're not sure what that means.

Thanks, I'm aware of the distinction - no need to google it.
