Target feeding open brain corals
Target feeding open brain corals
I've had this large anemone for about three years now, it's roughly 6 inches across. For the most part, it would only extend its feeding tentacles at night, which is pretty standard behavior. Lately, though, I've noticed they're out all day, every day. I'm wondering if this is some sort of sign that I need to adjust its feeding schedule or if it's just a random thing with no real meaning behind it.

My experience with mine has been similar, it's always displayed its feeding tentacles throughout the day. I'm curious, have you noticed any issues with your other corals? If everything else seems fine, I wouldn't be too concerned about it just yet.

It's thriving. Mine's always out, doesn't matter the time. I target feed three times a week and it's full, healthy. I'd say there are far worse signs of bad health than this.

"My feeders are always out, I've noticed this might be due to slightly dirty water, so it's keeping them out to catch any stray particles floating by."

Appreciate the insights, everyone.
