I just witnessed my betta attempt to squeeze his head into the outflow pipe of the sponge filter. I was thinking to myself, 'the water's flowing, he'll come out.' Luckily, he managed to free himself. I'm still unsure what possessed him to try that. I've since repositioned the pipe to face the back of the glass. These fish can be quite something sometimes.

I'm thrilled to report that Galaxy is making a fantastic recovery. His swimming is back to normal and he's got a great appetite. The scales on his back are almost fully regrown, and his fins seem to be functioning just fine now. I'm really optimistic that his wound will be completely healed by this time next week.

I'm so relieved to report that Galaxy is making a fantastic recovery. His scales have almost fully regrown, and the damage to his fins seems to be healing just fine. He's been swimming around and eating like a champ, which is a huge relief for me. I'm really optimistic that his wounds will be completely healed by next week.

I just got a betta and a guppy from my friend, and I'm setting up a 10 gallon for them. They seem a bit off, I think they might be constipated but I'm not entirely sure, I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.
