I've kept kribensis with rummy nose tetras and bolivian rams in a community tank before, it can work but you'll need to make sure the tank's big enough and has lots of hiding places.

What's the tank size and how many fish are we talking about? Kribensis can get pretty feisty, especially around other cichlids.
