essential items for everyday life
I was thinking, why not start a thread on non-aquarium items that can be repurposed for our hobby. I recently picked up these magnetic strips meant for knives, and they're a game-changer for storing my aquascaping tools and gear.

I've got exposed rafters behind my built-ins, so I just use nails and screws to hang my tools.
A good scissors is always part of my aquarium toolkit, and those new heaters with digital readouts are super convenient – they just stick to any surface. I've also found a pack of Command stick-on picture hooks and the refill sticky pads to be really handy – I've used those sticky pads in a bunch of different situations.

I'm all about thinking outside the box when it comes to aquarium gear. There's a lot of stuff lying around my place that wasn't meant for the hobby, but I've found a use for it. Being creative can really help cut costs - instead of buying specialized equipment, I just repurpose things I already have. It's all about looking at things from a different angle and finding alternative solutions.
