unfortunately, even though you're really into clowns and damsels, it doesn't mean they'll get along. mixing different clown species is a bad idea, they'll fight and kill each other. and as for damsels, they're super aggressive towards other fish. what everyone's trying to say is that you shouldn't do it, it's a waste of money and it's not gonna be fun watching your fish kill each other. just don't do it, it's not worth it.

Honestly, there's only one way this could potentially work, and I'm not even suggesting you try it, but I'll throw it out there.

First off, all the clownfish need to be at the LFS at the same time, and they've got to be sold in bigger groups - think 10-20 of each species in a single tank.

If that's the case, then buying the smallest clownfish possible might give you a shot. You'd be getting immature males, since that's what all clownfish are born as. Then, once they're in your tank, the largest would naturally develop into a mature female, the second largest into a male, and the other two would stay as immature males. Long-term, I'm being honest, I have no idea what would happen to those two - they might get bullied to death, or they might be fine, I just don't know.

Let me be crystal clear: while this combination might be possible, I'm not taking responsibility for suggesting it to you. I'd never try it myself, so take that for what it's worth.

I've had experience with clownfish, I had two Nemos in my tank for a few months, then I added two more of the same species, but smaller. It took a while for them to get along, clowns are super territorial and picky about other clowns.

If things don't work out, you'll be in for a world of trouble - ripping the tank apart to catch them will be a nightmare.
