I just set up a 15 gallon aquarium and I've got a few questions to get sorted.
Can I keep 2 clownfish, 1 yellow clown goby, and 2 hermit crabs in a real coral reef setup in a 15 gallon tank?
Should I go for juvenile clownfish or get them fully grown - I'm not sure which is better.
Are there any other good tankmates you'd recommend for this setup?

@kingrise, no offense with the ping, just wondering if you've got experience with clownfish since you've got a 40g reef with two of them, right?

@kingrise, sry if u dont like pings but I'm pretty sure u have a 40g reef with 2 clowns? I'm on a tighter budget, so I went with the biggest I could afford - a 15g.

I'm aware it might be possible for them to thrive in a 15, pheonix has a similar setup that's fluxx, I'm reaching out to them for insightoceanlover wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 4:33 am I just set up a 15 gallon aquarium and I've got a few questions to get sorted.

Honestly, 15 gallons is just too small for all those fish.

Another consideration for you: Starting out with possibly wild-caught, sensitive saltwater fish - is it the best move for a new fishkeeper?

Re: seeking guidance as a new aquarist
I've had experience with a fighting game fish for 3 years, and some neptunes too. I'm 100% sure I can care for them properly. And I'm getting captive-bred ones, not wild-caught - that's not allowed anyway.
Re: seeking guidance as a new aquarist
You're not exactly a newbie, are you. You've had experience with those fighting fish and some neptunes, so that's a plus. Still, I think it's worth noting that most clownfish are wild caught, so you might want to double-check the source of your fish.oceanlover wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 4:33 am I just set up a 15 gallon aquarium and I've got a few questions to get sorted.

Honestly, your experience is way more than you're letting on. This isn't some newbie project, you've got a clear idea what you're doing. So, why the charade?
