Re: coral dip: which one works best?
Totally agree on the temp thing. I use a spare heater in the rinse bucket. Oh, and don't forget to check for eggs. Some dips miss those, and then you're back to square one.

Re: coral dip: which one works best?
Yep, Bayer's a beast, but it works. Just don't go full strength. I dilute it 50/50 with tank water, dip for 5 minutes, then rinse like crazy. My Duncan's never looked happier. What's your salt mix? Might play a role too.

Re: Goniopora for the beginner: is it a hardy coral?
I've ordered from Unique Corals, not entirely sure if it's a Reefgen Goni, but it's a yellow flame - we'll see how it goes.

Does anyone have the pink Goni from ReefGen in their tank, and if so, how's it doing?

Anyone know where to get ReefGen corals? I thought ORA was the only option for aquacultured Goniopora. Looking to add one, but my past experiences have been pretty rough.

Re: Is a marine fish suitable for this tank?
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I'm probably leaning towards a freshwater setup anyway, just thought I'd ask for my own knowledge.

Is a marine fish suitable for this tank?
the tank in question is pretty small - 16 inches long, 10 wide, and 10 deep.
if i can make it work - do i really need live rock for a setup like this, or can i get by with a decent filter? or is it possible to just use live copepods...?
any advice is welcome, really - i'm open to suggestions. i ...

Re: Losing interest...
Setting up a marine tank isn't on my agenda atm lol, way too pricey, I mean I'd rather buy a horse lol.
I already have a tank, external filter, heater and all that jazz...
But if I was starting from scratch, could I get away with setting up a saltwater tank using just this gear?
Or do I need ...

Re: Losing interest...
i'm thinking of some colourful fish for my tank, something that'll really make it pop, you know?
i'd love a few bigger ones, rather than loads of little ones, just to make it look more impressive, but i know that means no nemo, lol, oh well.
pink and yellow fish would be amazing, can't imagine ...
