Re: Lost my jawfish, can anyone help?
Is your tank covered, Jawfish are notorious for jumping out.

Re: Is this a shy jawfish?
Looks nice Flynta, I've been keeping an eye on the substrate and in the morning I could see where they'd been digging the previous night, but nothing's changed in about 5 days now. Hopefully all is not lost, I really struggled to find them in stock anywhere, it took me about 3 months to finally ...

Re: Is this a shy jawfish?
Thanks for the reassurances guys, but I've got some bad news - found one of my jawfish on the carpet this morning, dried out. I'd made a perspex cover specifically for them, but I guess it wasn't enough - there's a small gap of about a centimetre or so along two sides that it must have jumped ...

Is this a shy jawfish?
Hi everyone, I've had my two yellowheaded jawfish in the 30-gallon tank for just over a week now and they're being super elusive. I knew they'd be shy, but this is taking it to a whole new level. My main worry is they're not getting enough food - has anyone else had a similar experience with these ...

Re: Feeding trachyphyllia, acanthastrea, and duncan corals
I've got peppermints that get their own special stash of pellets, and my snails and hermits get theirs too. I use a trusty neon pointer stick - or as I like to call it, the 'wand of death' - to keep them from swiping the pellets.

Re: Feeding trachyphyllia, acanthastrea, and duncan corals
I dose my LPS corals - Acans, Acanthophyllia, and the like - with Fauna Marine LPS pellets, twice a week, and also give my Goniapora some extra love with Goniopower. As for broadcast feeding, I usually do Cyclopeeze two to three times a week.

Re: simple fish only setup on a budget: what are the options?
Running eight freshwater tanks, plus 30 years under my belt. Thinking of dipping my toes into marines, possibly converting a 2 or 4 footer. Not looking to go full-on reef, just a few fish and maybe some shrimps. What kit would I need for a basic setup? Any advice on this and some guidance on fish ...

Re: Show off your coral gardens
Really like your setup, FinFlip. The black sand is a great choice, it really makes the acans stand out. Would love to see a close-up of that green and orange one in the first pic, middle back.
I've seen Bud's elegance garden in person, it's definitely impressive.
