Current power outage in our area

Power's going out on Tuesday in my street. Got a canister filter and sponge filter for my tanks. Picked up a battery pump for the sponge filter - anything else I should do to prepare?

Considering a diy project: what's on your list?

I'm finding the api kit a bit of a hassle to work with, what with filling and standing the tubes up.

I've drafted a new design, gonna make a proper one, and I'll be adding a syringe holder too.
All the holders will be made to a pro standard, and I'll make sure they're all sanded down properly ...

Here's the info from the packet... Directions for use: put 1 tablet of sera florenette A in every 20 liters (5 gal) of water once a week. Place them close to the roots.

Also, if you get new plants, trim the roots with sharp scissors before planting - this helps the plant take up nutrients quickly.

We're also on the Sera Florenette A. We've also got a liquid plant food going in daily. Do we still need to swap out the Florenette as often as the pack says, or does the liquid food take some of the load off?
