How to replant pearlweed successfully
I'm having trouble getting my pearl weed to stay put - it just won't stop floating. Any advice would be super helpful. I know I'm overdue for a trim, finals have just been crazy.

Keeping female kribs in a 29 gallon tank
I'm looking for some opinions on keeping only female kribs in my 29G tank. I'm not looking to breed, I just love these fish. Since I won't have any other fish in the tank, I was thinking the females would be a good choice due to their smaller size. This got me wondering if I could keep a few more ...

Re: choosing the right dwarf cichlid for your aquarium
@willie32 has suggested great African fish for hard water, and @infold has North/Central Americans with the same need for minerals. If you have Apistos, you probably have soft water.
Dwarf Cichlids are naturally shy. In the wild, they'd be someone's meal if they drew too much attention ...

Re: choosing the right dwarf cichlid for your aquarium
I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm really looking for something that'll make the most of my 20g's height, I'm not sure shell dwellers would be the best fit for that.

Re: choosing the right dwarf cichlid for your aquarium
Looking for a colorful dwarf cichlid pair with lots of energy, not shy at all. Need something new for my 20 gallon high. Considering A. Borelli, A. agasizzi, Bolivian ram, German ram, smiling cichlid, flag, African butterfly, and kribs.
My water parameters are ph 7.0 and Gh 12.
Do you have ...

Re: choosing the right dwarf cichlid for your aquarium
I'm assuming you don't have all those in the same tank. There are many Apisto varieties you could consider, they're a good fit for a 20g high and come in a range of colors.
They're in other tanks, and the 20g will be just for the new pair. I do love Apistos, but the ones I have are pretty shy ...

issues with my krib pair
I'm dealing with a bad situation with my Kribs. Had an awful week, didn't keep an eye on them like I should've. Everything was going great, they were breeding, then disaster struck. They had their fry, I spaced out and didn't put a sponge tip on the filter intake, now most of the fry are gone ...

Re: Keeping dwarf crayfish with kribs
I've always been skeptical about combining crayfish and fish, to be honest. The old adage 'claws and fins don't mix' is rooted in experience and I think it's wise to heed that warning.
I've had a pretty good experience with it in my 75, been running for about 8 months now. I've got 65 nano fish ...

Keeping dwarf crayfish with kribs
Hi, I'm wondering if dwarf crayfish can coexist with kribs in a 29-gallon tank that's heavily aquascaped.
