Re: need a quick id
I'm not convinced it's a Eunice worm. Could it be a type of Cucumber instead? I'm no expert, but I thought I'd throw that out there.
I found this link that shows something similar - http/images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...t%3D72%26um%3D1. Not an exact match, but it's worth a look.

Re: Raising plate coral babies: next steps
I'd recommend setting up a small, shallow acrylic box with some substrate in the bottom, placing it in the bottom of your tank where the coral is currently located, and then transferring the babies into this setup.

Re: Duncan coral health issues

Re: Open brain coral problems
I'm no expert, but I've come across instances where tissue recession in these corals can be caused by lack of feeding - might be worth exploring that angle before considering a dip.

Wondering if the hermit crabs I find on the beach are suitable for my marine tank.

Re: Two-part question on coral id
Your fishing tube worm is probably a vermetid snail - those guys are known for building those tube structures and collecting particles with their web-like appendages.

Re: No growth on my hammer coral for 6 months
I've seen better growth and polyp extension since I started target feeding. Now I'm doing spot feeding once a week, using frozen cyclops - seems to be making a difference.

Re: Predictable retraction in frogspawn corals
Are you adding anything to the tank around that time? The daily routine in your house might be influencing it - like lights, cooking, or increased CO2 levels from everyone being home in the evenings. My frogspawn tends to retract when the lights are turned off.
