Optimal placement for favia corals
I'm curious, where do you all usually place your favias? Mine was on the sand for a few months, and while he was alive, he just wasn't doing great. Now I've got him on a rock, about halfway up, and his polyps are out way more often. Wondering if I should glue him in place or just let him grow ...

The only other thing that's happened recently is a big piece of squid got stuck in the polyps a few days ago, and it ate it.

Troubleshooting plate coral issues
Hey guys,
I recently got a purple plate coral and it's been thriving. Went to check on it today and it's looking off. No polyps extended, mouth's way bigger than normal, and it's got this greenish tint along the edges. Not the best pic, but take a look and give me your thoughts.

I've had my betta for over a week now and he's taken a real liking to the left side of the tank, near the inlet filter.
