Re: keeping jewel cichlids

I've tried to sex my own, but I've had no luck, the only reliable method I've heard of is by examining the vents, seems pretty hit or miss though. If you do end up with a pair, be prepared for some intense aggression when they spawn, good luck with that.

Re: Palythoa toxicity concerns

Re: is kribs ready to breed?

I'd leave the Angels in, keep the 2ft on standby, just in case. Exciting times ahead, fingers crossed it all goes smoothly

Those photos are incredible. The opportunity to see tangs in their natural environment would be a dream come true for me. The experience must be truly breathtaking.

Re: identifying the sex of my fish

Your Red Forest Jewel does appear to be under stress. Adding a background to its tank might make it feel more secure, I noticed you don't seem to have one in place. I've had my own Red Forest Jewel for about 18 months now, it's grown to around 4 inches from a tiny 3/4 inch when I first got it. It's ...

Re: How to choose stock for a 4-foot 270 litre aquarium

I've had experience with Brichardi in the past, they're a really engaging and entertaining species to observe. If you decide on a species-only setup, you'll have the opportunity to see multiple generations thrive together. However, it's worth noting that they can be quite aggressive when kept with ...
