Re: lighting schedule for reef tank

For LPS and SPS under Primes, I'd start with a 10-hour total photoperiod, 2-hour ramp up/down. Peak intensity around 60% for 6 hours. Adjust based on coral response—if they're stretching, bump intensity. If they bleach, cut it back. What's your current PAR at the sandbed?

Yep, this is solid. My ...

Re: Help with a sick betta baby

Welcome to the forum, kindfish. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your tank is way too small for two betta fish. I know, I know, the pet store probably told you it was fine, but trust me, they just want to make a sale. The truth is, most betta experts agree that even 2.5 gallons is a stretch ...

Re: helping my fish with popeye

Are both bettas males, and are they housed together in the same tank? What's the setup with the divider - is it just separating the bettas from the neptunes, or is there something between the bettas as well? Can they see each other, or is the divider blocking their view?

What's the tank size, by ...

Re: help, my betta is dying

I desperately need help, fast. My betta, Baloo, who I rescued 3 months ago from a Walmart shelf with minor fin rot, is in trouble. After daily water changes and increased aquarium salt, his fin rot got better, then worse, and finally started growing back about 2 weeks ago. I know some people might ...

Re: Common issues with betta fish

Sorry to hear your betta's not doing well, lushly. To better understand the situation and offer some advice, we'll need a bit more information.

Could you tell us what type of filter you're using in the 15g tank - is it a canister, hang-on-back, or sponge filter? What's your water change routine ...

Re: facing a hostile reaction

Blimey, I've gotta say, that tank does look pretty sweet, I can see why you splurged on it. Sorry, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to cichlids - I'm assuming that's what they are, right? I'm sure someone with the know-how will chime in soon and offer some advice. Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Re: is my betta stressed or sick?

Hi, I'm still concerned about Eros and I was wondering, had you done a water change for him before the 50% change you did recently? You mentioned you've had him for about two weeks, so I'm curious to know if this was the first time you changed the water, or if there were any changes before that.
