I'm inclined to agree with the notion that a sudden spike in bioload could've triggered the water parameter changes. As for how quickly the fish were affected ...

Make sure your water parameters are on point, as any fluctuations could be causing your torch's unusual appearance.

I'm looking for a second opinion on this metallic brain, seems fine to me but I want to make sure. Guys, what's your take on it? Should I start giving it pellets now?

You might want to look into how the cardinal was caught, maybe it was cyanide fishing, and get some info from your LFS about where the fish came from.

What kind of water tests are you running? You mentioned nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, and pH, but are you checking for anything else? Has the ...
