And don't forget to check your lighting duration. Too little light, and even fast growers won't do much. Aim for 8–10 hours if you're not running CO2.

Plants do lower nitrates, but it depends on the species and growth rate. Fast growers like Hornwort or Water Wisteria suck up nitrates way quicker than slow growers like Anubias. What's your lighting setup and fertilizer routine?

I'm not a pro but from what i know... i think i can help you out a bit. The third picture you posted, to me it looks like an acei. The fourth one, i'm getting a red zebra vibe. And the fifth one, i'm gonna take a guess and say it's a nimbochromis venustus. The sixth one, i've seen this one before ...
