Re: Betta fish and tank cleaning tools

Yeah, turkey basters are clutch for quick cleanups. Also, if your fish is super skittish, try cleaning at the same time every week. They'll get used to the routine.

Re: Lighting unit failure: Sealed unit help

I'd be freaking out if my light died. You got any backup plan? Even a desk lamp with a decent bulb might help for a day or two.

Re: Lighting unit failure: Sealed unit help

Man, that sucks. I've got no clue about fixing lights, but maybe someone local can help? Or just grab a cheap temporary light until you sort it out. Don't wanna stress your corals too much.

Re: plants that survive fish digging

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Gonna try Anubias and Bolbitis tied to rocks. Hopefully my cichlids chill out.

plants that survive fish digging

My cichlids keep uprooting everything. What plants can handle their digging? I've tried Java Fern but they just rip it out. Tank's a 55g with sand substrate, 78F, and moderate lighting. Need something tough.

Re: minimum tank size for corals

Yo, I've got a 5 gallon pico with some GSP and it's vibing. Just gotta stay on top of water changes, like 10% twice a week. Don't overfeed or it'll get sketchy fast.
