Hey guys, so I'm starting this new thread to see if I can get some help identifying the exact type of Betta these two little guys are. I know it's been a while since I posted about rescuing them from that horrible situation, but they're almost fully recovered now and I'm super curious.

I'm feeling pretty down, to be honest. Just lost my little guy Vivid, my Crowntail. His health was never great, not since I got him from Wal-mart. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, and I don't think I'm ready to start cleaning out his tank just yet...

I'm thrilled to report that the two boys are doing amazingly well. The daily water changes and stress coat have been working wonders for them. Their recovery is far exceeding my expectations, and I'm over the moon (no pun intended). One of them has even earned a name - I've decided to call ...

I'll definitely get some pics to you eventually, I just need to figure out how to get them off this old laptop of mine.

And don't worry, I'll stop with the "sir" thing, I can just imagine your dad now, haha.

UPDATE. Both my little rescue Bettas are doing great, eating well and pretty active already. One of them's fin growth is coming along nicely, and I'm pretty sure it's a Butterfly - the colors are really starting to pop now, they're turning out to be gorgeous. My Vivid's getting a bit miffed, I think ...
