Mine did the same thing. Just give it time and keep the water clean. They're pretty resilient once they settle in.

Mine's doing great near the bottom. I've got a 100-gallon with LED lights, and it's been growing like crazy. Just make sure it's not in the path of a powerhead, that'll stress it out.

Endlers are another option. They're like guppies but smaller and less likely to mess with plants. Plus, they're colorful and easy to care for.

I'm not sure if I'm stepping out of line here, but I'd like to mention that I've found a great resource for Tropheus info - it's a site called Trophs.com, and it's entirely dedicated to these amazing fish.
