That's Java Fern you've got there. Baby plants form on the leaves, that's normal. Looks like you've also got some Seachem Seaflex plants in the sand. Hey Rizen, I can help you figure out the size of your tank. To calculate the gallons, you need to multiply the height, length, and width of the tank, then divide that number by 231. It's pretty straightforward.

Newer fluorescent fixtures now have electronic starters, or ballasts, which don't need replacement. These starters work fine with LED tubes, no issues at all. I've actually switched all mine to LED tubes, and the electronic starters are a big improvement over the old ballast starters.
