Re: Is a HOB filter sufficient?
Thanks for the input, everyone. I do weekly 25% water changes and rinse the media in old tank water monthly. Sounds like I might be overthinking it.

Is a HOB filter sufficient?
I've been running a HOB filter on my 20 gallon planted tank for about six months now. It's got a Betta, some Neon Tetras, and a few Corydoras. The water's been clear, but I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a canister filter for better filtration. What's your experience with HOB filters long term?

Re: is eyebiter compatible?
Thanks for the advice guys, looks like an eyebiter is out of the question. Appreciate the honesty, especially from boomer - didn't know about the water requirements and space needs.

is eyebiter compatible?
I'm running a 100g with an FX6, currently home to a hujeta pike, senegal bichir and 7 silver dollars. Thinking of adding an eyebiter - never had african cichlids before, so any advice would be great, cheers.
