Re: my 55-gallon cichlid community
Just got my 3 Yellow Labs in the tank and they're doing great, not too fond of the caves yet but loving the tank overall.

Re: my 55-gallon cichlid community
I was thinking 5-6 each of a few species, but that would be 30 fish, seems like a lot.

Re: my 55-gallon cichlid community
I'm not set on just one fish, just using it as a starting point. If cross-breeding's a problem, I'll skip the blues. I jotted down some I like, any suggestions on which to focus on?

Re: my 55-gallon cichlid community
I'm a fan of sunnygold and electric blue cichlids. For those, I think they'd do well with some peaceful tankmates. I've heard bumblebee cichlids can be a bit aggressive, but if you're looking for something similar, you might want to consider the Cynotilapia species. I've got some Cynotilapia Jaol ...

Your tank looks really nice, I'm impressed. I've got a 16 megapixel camera too but my pics never turn out that good, what camera did you use? I'm about to stock my 65 gallon, any suggestions would be great.

Is my african cichlid carrying eggs?
Honestly, I'm stumped. My Melanchromis Tangazo, about 2 inches and roughly 6 months old, hasn't eaten in a week, yet it looks the same to me. I've had a chaotic week, just moved yesterday, and now I'm worried. All my cichlids are the same size, and it's concerning that one of the Melanchromis ...

Is my cichlid mouth brooding?
I've got no clue about this little guy, I mean he's only about three inches, a yellow lab, so I figured I'd separate him into a ten gallon just to be safe, could someone please help me out. He's not really eating, but I'm pretty sure three inches is way too small for them to be having babies, right ...
