Dude, just throw in some duckweed and call it a day. Your Tetras will love it, and you'll never have to worry about planting again. Bonus: it's basically impossible to kill. Downside: you'll never get rid of it either.

Honestly, don't even think about it. Synodontis all the way, trust me. I'm more of a BR pleco fan myself, just saying.

Got some pics of my all-male mbuna tank to share. There's one female ps. elongatus orantus and a male yellow lab that are on their way out this weekend.
