For a 100L tank, you could consider apistogramma or kribensis - like Cobyx mentioned. Ram cichlids are another option, or even a checkerboard cichlid, though they do need pretty low pH, around 5.6.

As for the filtration, I'm currently using a Marineland Penguin 350B Biowheel HOB filter - it's been working fine so far. If needed, I have a spare one in storage or my dad has been eyeing a canister filter, so that's an option too if you think my current setup won't handle the extra bioload. The ...

Thanks for the advice, I actually had 5 Red Eye Tetras initially, but unfortunately they didn't make it - I guess my dad picked a bad batch from Petsmart. Planning to get 4 or 5 more next week to bring the school back up to a decent size.

20 gallon tank might be a possibility for the krib, but it's worth noting I'll be moving the mosquito fish there soon too. Two of them are pregnant, so I'd rather not stress them out right now.

When my jewels grow up, they'll probably outgrow the 25 gallons, I've heard it's recommended 20 gallons for one, then 10 gallons for each extra one you add.
