Re: sharing my 10-gallon plant setup

Sounds like you've got a good thing going. How's the Anubias attached? Superglue or thread?

Sounds like a cool tank. I've got a 10-gallon too, but with more crypts. How's the Fluval Stratum working for you? Heard it can lower pH.

I'd love to journal the process, but my computer's camera is really subpar.

I recently acquired a male betta with a blue and black marble pattern, and I'm planning to breed him with a female Galaxy koi betta. They'll be paired up in a few weeks.

Male:

Female (Extremely similar):

I'm really looking forward to this breeding project, especially since my first attempt ...

Re: is something wrong with my betta?

SafeStart isn't the same as cycling the tank, btw - I'm curious, how did you cycle yours?

Re: I made an error.

I had my female fin_tank in a community tank for a bit because her 5-gallon tank had a crack. She was chillin with 2 female neptunes and this one male, I'm pretty sure she thought he was a male betta or something, 'cause she started producing eggs. Now they're just sitting there, doing nothing. I ...

Re: Is my betta lazy?

Hi, welcome to the forum. I've got some thoughts on your lazy betta. Too much water flow is a common cause of this behavior, and if left unchecked, it can lead to a host of other problems, including obesity and even death. I'm curious, what model is your filter? Knowing this might help us figure out ...

Re: Is my betta sleeping too much

Hi everyone,

I'm still pretty new to all this Betta care stuff, so bear with me. I've had Sashimi for just a couple of days now (got him on the 18th of July, 2022), and he's been sleeping for over 20 hours straight, only waking up randomly. I've done a ton of research, but I'm still stumped ...

Re: Is my betta fish sleeping or showing signs of illness?

I actually already have some other caves that I can put in there instead, places sell plenty of caves, it's not like I gotta keep this one in particular.
