This coral's actually one of the few that made it through a tank crash a couple months back. Tank's back to normal now, and it's been eating fine - always got its tentacles out unless someone spooks it. Had just relocated it when that picture was taken, it was still settling in after being dug out ...

Is my short tentacle plate coral splitting?
I've been observing a strange growth on my green short tentacle place coral, and I'm not sure what's going on. It looks like it might be splitting, but I'm not aware if that's something they can do. If not, then what is this weird growth I'm seeing?

So I've recently set up a separate tank for breeding copepods - 5 gallons, about half-filled with water from my main tank. I picked up a jar of Tiger Copepods from my LFS, along with some LIVE Phytoplankton, and added a small pile of rubble for them to hide in. Has anyone else tried this ...
