That's perfect. Also, consider adding a bit of stress coat to the bags. Helps with slime coat protection.

Re: Preparing for the big fish move

Agree with fasting. Also, double-bag them with pure oxygen if you can. Discus are sensitive to pH swings, so match the new tank's water to the old one as close as possible. What's your current pH and temp?

Re: Can acans outgrow their space

Thanks, all my corals are thriving - they're open wide and covered in polyps. Guess I'm doing something right, they look way better than when I picked them up from the LFS, especially compared to the ones I didn't get from a hobbyist.

Re: Can acans outgrow their space

Thanks for the reassurance. First time with an Acan, so I'm still figuring things out. I've been running my tank a bit on the "wild side" - my Zoas seem to love it, and I'm guessing that's why this little guy's looking way more vibrant now than it did in the store.

Can acans outgrow their space

I picked up some acans a few weeks back, and the very next day in my tank, they'd ballooned out to almost three times their size from the store. My buddy's never seen that happen before with acans - is this normal?

Re: pushing the limits of a clown's patience

I'm with the majority here, space is definitely a concern for me. I think it's great you're considering the well-being of the fish, and that's exactly why I'd say no to a clownfish in a 5.5 gallon tank.

information on the maroon clownfish

I've come across the maroon clownfish being described as 'very aggressive', but I'm having trouble understanding what that entails. Would they be aggressive enough to go after a Pterois antennata, for instance (FableRyde)?

Re: setting up a nano aquarium

To be honest, I'm not sold on keeping two clowns in a 10g. I've never kept marine myself, but from what I understand, clowns are pretty active and get quite large.
