Think the catfish is a synodontis, those squeaking noises they make are pretty distinctive.

I had a hunch, but wasn't entirely sure. I've got a single male kenyi, and he's a vibrant yellow - I've been wondering if the females would have that lovely peachy hue. For now, I've just got the one male, but I might consider introducing some females to the mix later on.

I've got eight tanks spread out around the house.

Three of them are in the living room, so I can see 'em all from the sofa. I spend hours watching the fish in the evenings - the TV's been relegated to background noise.

Considering the alternatives, Brevis seem like a viable option, I've heard they're quite good. The black on black scape is growing on me, I must say. As for the shells, they're still in the box, waiting to be added once I've got everything else sorted.

You're in for a treat with the multifasciatus, they've got bags of character. Gloss paint on the back's the only way to go, backgrounds just don't cut it in the long run. Looking forward to sharing more pics as I get the tank up and running.
