Re: why won't my discus pair bond?

It might be worth checking for parasites or internal issues. Sometimes fish won't pair if they're not feeling 100%. A round of general cure couldn't hurt.

Re: Discus tank flow for happy fish

Mine freaked out until I switched to a low-flow lily pipe. Now they're cool as cucumbers. Also, check your filter media—if it's clogged, the flow gets uneven. I rinse mine in tank water every 2 weeks.

Re: How often to change discus tank water?

I'm new to Discus but heard they need super clean water. Got a 60-gallon with 4 juveniles. Doing 20% daily changes—is that overkill? Tank's planted with driftwood, and I use Seachem Prime. Temp's at 85°F.

Nah, daily's chill for juvies. They grow faster with frequent changes. Just watch your tap ...

Thanks for all the tips! Gonna switch to daily water changes and grab some almond leaves. My pH is 6.8, hardness around 4 dGH. Using Seachem Prime for tap water. I'll test ammonia again tonight.

Discus fry care for beginners

Just got my first batch of Discus fry, and I'm kinda lost on how to keep 'em thriving. My tank's a 20-gallon with a sponge filter, temp at 84°F, and I've been doing 30% water changes every other day. They're eating baby brine shrimp, but some seem sluggish. What am I missing?

Re: Daku Aquatics any thoughts
I'm skeptical about that review on Facebook - seems too good to be true. Only the owner would gush that much about their own business. Liz is still my top choice.

Re: Will be traveling monthly for work, could use some input?

No issue with feeding, either. I've also got a temp and pH monitor right in front of the tank, and a nest camera set up so I can keep an eye on things remotely. That way, I can make sure everything's running smoothly, and I get to check ...

Re: Sump or no sump?

Quick question, I'm genuinely curious - what led you to believe that a sump system would trigger another breeding pair to spawn, simply because one pair is already going at it?

Developing a breeding pair from scratch is no cakewalk, let me tell you - getting them to mate and ...

If they offer it, you can ask for white glove service.

I've had a good experience with Waterbox, they're quite reliable and well-regarded in the community.
