how to Grow anubias with shrimp
My Anubias aren't growing well with my shrimp tank. I've got a 20 gallon, low tech setup with Java Fern and some moss. The shrimp are doing great, but the Anubias leaves are turning yellow. Anyone got tips?

I'm new to Montipora. Running Nicrew lights, 50% for 6 hours. 10-gallon tank, 7.9 alk, 380 calc, 5 nitrates. Should I increase the duration first or the intensity?
Duration first. Bump to 8 hours for a week, then tweak intensity by 5% if they're not responding. Nicrews aren't as strong as AI or ...

Montis can be picky with light. AI Primes are solid, but 60% might be too low for some strains. I run mine at 75%, 10 hours, peak at 80% for 4 hours. Tank's 50 gallons, 8.2 alk, 400 calc, 5 nitrates. Try bumping intensity gradually, like 5% weekly, and watch for bleaching. Also, check your PAR if ...

I'm no expert but I recently had some issues with an acan frag of mine. I think my problem was a combination of things - high nitrates, high phosphates, and high alkalinity, plus I had a peppermint shrimp that was causing some damage, too much light, and too much flow.

I agree with what's been said. To add, shaded light and low flow might be worth trying. Sometimes these corals just need a bit of extra TLC to settle in.

I've used a puddy knife to scrape off some encrusting corals in the past, works pretty well for me.
