Re: New ideas for fish
That's really interesting to know, I've always been curious about the differences between the two, thanks for sharing.

Re: New ideas for fish
I just got a clown who's missing a chunk of fin and it's got a beef with the whole 'royal grammas aren't aggressive' thing. And let's get real, royal grammas aren't exactly winning any beauty contests with those faces.

Re: learning about flame hawkfish
Mine was a bit shy at first, but once it got comfortable, it started coming out more often. They're really adorable, I'm glad I got mine.

My personal experience with a falco hawk and a cleaner shrimp was a positive one - the hawk left it be, likely due to its small size relative to the shrimp.

I've heard of SeaChem Reef Dip, anyone have experience with that? Not knocking the Bayer dip method, just seems a bit... intense.

Re: Optimizing sps longevity through acclimation
Honestly, this freaks me out a bit. Is this some kind of alternative to Interceptor? I'm seriously concerned about using an insecticide on my corals, even if it is effective.

Re: learning about flame hawkfish

Re: Optimizing sps longevity through acclimation
I've tried this same Bayer dip insecticide on my red dragon and Hawkins Acroporas, both had red bugs. Used 10ml per 2 cups, 10 minutes, and I'd swish the acro every couple minutes. Worked like a charm, those red bugs are gone.

Re: Optimizing sps longevity through acclimation
I'd love to get more info on this Bayer Advanced dip method, what's the thought process behind it and how does it compare to other dips. Also, what's the Hawkins you're referring to, is it a type of coral or a specific test. Been out of the loop for a bit, so any insight would be great.
