I've got a 650l tank with 525l of usable space. I've got a pretty decent mix of fish going on - 2 common clowns, a yellow tang, a sail fin tang, a yellow tail damselfish, a black cap besslet, a Pygmy Yellowtail Angelfish, a Rock Beauty Angelfish, a Night watchmen goby, a Yellow eye kole tang, a Spotted Mandarin, a Cleaner Common Wrasse, and a Kaudern's Cardinal that's tank-bred. Plus, I've got some schooling fish - 4 Blue/Green Reef Chromis. And then there's the odd ones out - a Firtideflow, Purple, a Zebra Barred Dartfish, 3 pepermint shrimp, a boxer shrimp, and another shrimp that's slipped my mind.

I've only just realized how many fish I've got in there now that I've written it all down. So, I'm wondering - is my tank maxed out, or is there room for a few more smaller fish?

You've got quite a diverse tank going on. I'd advise against adding more angelfish since they do best alone or introduced at the same time. And with the Yellow Tang being one of the more aggressive tang species, especially towards new tang additions, I'd say it's best to avoid adding more tangs.

Dartfish can be pretty territorial, considering you've already got the Firtideflow and Zebra. However, throwing in one more might not cause too much of an issue, just be sure to keep it separate from the other two's territory. I'd also caution against adding more clownfish, given the same reasoning as with tangs and angelfish.

Basslets seem okay, maybe you could squeeze in one or two more. As for wrasses, one more might work, but keep in mind they can be territorial, even in a tank of your size. Chromis and Kaudern's Cardinal could be added in greater numbers, but be aware they can get aggressive towards each other.

If you're looking to introduce new fish, a school of anthias - one male with several females - could be a fun addition to the tank. A foxface or rabbitfish might also work. Is this a reef tank, by the way? If so, I'd recommend picking just a few of these options, not all of them. Your tank is pretty full, but if you really want to, you could fit in a few more.
