What's the best temp range for LPS like Hammers and Torches? My tank's sitting at 78F but I've heard mixed things. Running a 40-gallon with AI Prime lights, weekly 10% water changes, and salinity at 1.025. Just wanna make sure they're happy.

78F is solid for most LPS. I keep mine at 77–79F, and they thrive. Stability's key though, avoid swings bigger than 1–2 degrees. What's your heater setup? A quality controller helps. My 50-gallon's got a Neptune Apex keeping things tight.

Yep, 78F's my sweet spot too. My Duncan's been blowin' up at that temp. Got a cheap heater once, sketchy swings messed with my Zoas. Now I run dual Eheim Jagers, redundancy's a lifesaver. How often you check your temp?

I check mine daily with a digital probe. Had a glass thermometer fail once, never again. LPS are chill at 78F, but like luminor6 said, stability's everything. What's your alkalinity at? Big swings there can stress them too.

My Frogspawn started receding when my temp hit 80F. Brought it back to 78F, and it's recovering. Tank's a 30-gallon with CaribSea sand, T5 lighting. Maybe some LPS just prefer it cooler?

80F's pushing it for sure. Most LPS prefer 76–79F. My torch corals start acting weird above 79F. Running a 75-gallon with Red Sea salt, weekly 15% changes. You guys dose anything for stability? I use Kalkwasser in my ATO.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Gonna stick with 78F and invest in a backup heater. My alk's steady at 8 dKH, so I'll keep an eye on that too. Appreciate the tips!

Stability's the name of the game. My 120-gallon's been at 77.5F for years, LPS love it. Running a Reef Octopus skimmer, monthly ICP tests. Ever tried a chiller for summer months? Saved my butt last year.

LPS corals: picky roommates who hate AC bills. Mine throw a fit if the temp's off by a degree. Jokes aside, 78F's the golden number. My tank's a 20-gallon nano, no fancy gear, just a reliable heater and prayers.

Digital controllers are worth every penny. My InkBird keeps my 65-gallon within 0.5F of 78F. LPS are thriving, especially the Acans. What's your photoperiod like? I run 10 hours with a ramp period to avoid shock.
