Hey guys, got a question for ya. Would 2 yellow cichlids be alright with my current lot - 3 angelfish, 6 corys, 2 electric blue rams and a kribensis?

Mixing Malawis with other tropicals isn't the way to go. It's just not fair to the fish and it won't end well. Different water parameters, different fluffnut - it's a recipe for disaster.

I've mixed fish for ages, no issues. If you're keen to try something new, just go for it, don't hold back.

Not impressed with the advice here. dorviko's right, mixing Malawis with other tropicals is a bad idea. Water parameters and fluffnut are different, it's not fair to the fish. speedster, just cause you've mixed fish before and got away with it doesn't mean it's a good idea. Don't encourage people to do something that can harm their fish.

I agree, a responsible fish keeper's top priority should be their fish's well-being. Fish from different regions have distinct needs, such as varying water parameters and dietary requirements.
