I'm curious, what kind of symptoms are you experiencing. Do you have to physically touch the food for a reaction to occur, or is just being around it enough to trigger something.

I've had a chance to speak with our local Department of Natural Resources team, who often develop this allergy due to their work with native species. In extreme cases, simply opening a frozen package in the same room can trigger a reaction - hives, for instance. However, most researchers I've spoken to find they can manage their bloodworm allergy by wearing gloves.
