Calcium reactor for nano tank

Thinking about adding a calcium reactor to my 20 gallon nano tank. Anyone got tips on a solid setup that won't take up too much space? Currently running LPS and a few SPS, params are stable but dosing manually is getting old.

I've been using the Geo CR1 for my 25 gallon. It's compact and does the job well. Just make sure you've got a good CO2 regulator, the cheap ones can be sketchy. What's your alk sitting at right now?

Yeah, manual dosing is a pain. I switched to a reactor last year and it's been a game changer. You gonna run it with a controller or just dial it in manually?

For a nano, the Aquamaxx FR-S is another good option. It's tiny but efficient. Just keep an eye on your pH, reactors can drop it if you're not careful.

Thanks for the suggestions. My alk is around 8 dKH, pH stays between 8.1 and 8.3. I'll check out the Geo and Aquamaxx.

I'd skip the reactor and stick with dosing for a tank that small. Less hassle and you can tweak it easier. What's your current dosing routine like?

Reactors are worth it if you're keeping SPS long-term. I've got mine hooked up to an Apex, makes it way easier to dial in. What's your calcium demand like?

I've heard mixed things about reactors in nanos. Some say they're overkill, others swear by them. Guess it depends on how much you're willing to mess with it.

I'm still dosing manually in my 15 gallon. Maybe I should look into a reactor too. How often do you have to refill the media?

Reactors can be a bit of a pain to set up but once they're dialed in, it's smooth sailing. Just make sure you've got a good drip rate.
