My pH keeps dropping below 8.0, and my Acropora are looking stressed. I'm dosing kalkwasser, running a refugium, and have good surface agitation. What else can I do to stabilize it?

Yo, I feel you. My tank was the same till I added more live rock. It's like a buffer or something. Also, check your alk, bro. If that's whack, pH goes nuts.

Low pH is often linked to high CO2 in the room. Do you have good ventilation? A skimmer helps, but if the air's stale, it won't cut it. Test your room's CO2 levels if possible.

I had this issue last year. Turns out my RO filter was failing, and TDS creep was messing with my params. Maybe check your water source?

Dude, just crank up the kalk. My tank's at 8.3 all day, no prob. But like, go slow, or you'll nuke your corals. Easy does it.

Lol, my pH swings more than my mood. But seriously, try a CO2 scrubber. Works like magic if your place is stuffy. Also, maybe cut back on the fish? Less breathing = less CO2.

I've heard dosing sodium bicarbonate at night can help. It's cheap and doesn't spike alk too fast. Just a thought.

Stable pH requires balanced alkalinity and calcium. Test both daily for a week. If alk is erratic, pH will follow. A two-part doser might help if manual dosing isn't consistent.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I'll test my alk again and look into a CO2 scrubber. Appreciate the help.
