What are the best plants for a fry tank? I've got a 10-gallon setup with some guppy fry and wanna make sure they've got plenty of cover. Heard Java Moss is good, but what else works?

Java Moss is solid, but Hornwort is even better. It grows fast and gives fry tons of hiding spots. I've also had luck with Water Wisteria—it's easy to grow and provides good cover.

I've used Frogbit in my fry tank. The roots give the fry something to hide in, and it helps keep the water clean. Just make sure it doesn't block all the light.

Dwarf Hairgrass is another option. It stays low and dense, perfect for fry to dart through. Just needs decent lighting to spread well.

Y'all sleeping on Guppy Grass. That stuff is like a fry paradise. Grows like crazy, doesn't need much light, and the babies love it. Plus, it's cheap as dirt.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Gonna grab some Hornwort and Guppy Grass and see how it goes.

Good call. Those two are practically foolproof. Just watch the Hornwort—it can shed needles if the water's not stable.

Don't forget about Anubias Nana. It's slow-growing, but super hardy. Tie it to a rock or driftwood, and the fry will love weaving through the leaves.

I've used Amazon Sword in my fry tank. The broad leaves give good cover, but it needs root tabs to thrive.

True, but it can get too big for a 10-gallon. Maybe go with a smaller variety like the Dwarf Amazon Sword.
