Could someone please tell me the names of these acans I have?
They've been growing out in my frag tank for a while now and I'm planning to move them to my new tank soon.

Could the third one be Acanthastrea echinata. The second and third pics are really gorgeous.

It could be, I'm not sure though.
Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. The pics actually turned out pretty decent considering I just used my cell phone to take them. I've got a Samsung S5 and it's been a lifesaver, especially since it's waterproof.

I'm pretty sure they're all lords.

I've spent countless hours reading up on the different types of acan's and I also help out at my local fish store with shipments and such.

The polyp shape is a dead giveaway. Lords have these really distinct, fleshy polyps that are easy to spot, whereas Acan echinata has less defined polyps that appear more connected. Bowerbankii are kinda puffy like lords, but not as clearly separate. And then you have rotundiflora, which are more like a chalice, with polyps that are barely defined.

lords always have those big, puffy polyps that are clearly separate, and when i picture echinata, they seem like the middle ground between a war coral - you know, like favites pentagonia - and a lord.

Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it. I'll have to do some more research so I can tell the different types apart, it's not as easy as I thought it'd be.
