Favia coral aggression issues

My Favia coral has been acting super aggressive lately, stinging everything nearby. It's in a 40-gallon tank with moderate flow, T5 lighting, and stable params at 1.025 salinity, 8.1 pH. Anyone dealt with this before? I've got some Zoas and a Duncan nearby, and they're getting wrecked.

Favias can be real bullies, especially if they're well-fed and happy. What's your feeding routine like? I've found cutting back on direct feeding helps reduce their aggression. Also, try moving them to a lower-flow area—they extend less when flow's gentler.

Yo, my Favia went full Hulk mode last year. Had to move it to the sandbed, away from others. Now it chills. Maybe give that a shot?

How often are you doing water changes? Sometimes excess nutrients can make them more aggressive. I'd check nitrates and phosphates too.

I've heard placing them near other aggressive corals can balance things out. Maybe try a Torch or Hammer nearby?

Thanks for the tip! I've been feeding reef roids twice a week. Gonna cut it back to once and see if that helps.

Sandbed move's a solid idea. Less light down there too, which might calm it. Just watch for any signs of stress.

If you do move it, keep an eye on your params. Sudden shifts can stress other corals. Maybe do a small water change after relocating.

One last thing—check your alkalinity. Favias can get sketchy if alk swings too much. Stable alk around 8-9 dKH usually keeps 'em happy without the aggression.
