Fry and fry food advice

Got a batch of fry from my Angelfish pair last week. They're free swimming now but I'm not sure what to feed them. Tried crushed flakes but they don't seem interested. Any suggestions?

Crushed flakes might be too big for them at this stage. Have you tried baby brine shrimp? They're usually a hit with fry and packed with nutrients. You can hatch them at home pretty easily with a small setup.

Second the baby brine shrimp. If you don't wanna mess with hatching, liquid fry food like First Bites works too. Just make sure to siphon out uneaten food to keep the water clean.

I agree, but if you're short on time, microworms are another option. They're easier to culture than brine shrimp and fry go crazy for them.

Man, I remember my first fry. Total chaos. Ended up using a mix of baby brine and powdered spirulina. They grew like weeds. Just don't overfeed, or you'll have a mess on your hands.

Yeah, overfeeding's a killer. I'd stick to small, frequent meals. Baby brine shrimp in the morning, microworms at night. Keep the water pristine, and you'll see growth in no time.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. Gonna try baby brine shrimp first and see how they respond. Appreciate the help!

I've heard vinegar eels are good too, but never tried them myself.

Spirulina's a great addition. It's got all the vitamins fry need to develop properly. Just make sure it's finely ground.
