Came across it a few days back. It's stuck on there pretty solid, I've been trying to get it off with a turkey baster but no luck. I even attempted to pluck it off with my trusty pair of long tweezers, but it just seems to be this stubborn goo... anyone got a solution?

You can see it nestled between the skeleton of the two heads, right in the gap. Sorry for the quality of the pic, I'm limited to using my phone for photos.

I've got one just like it on my hammer, it's a sponge. Don't bother trying to get it off, I haven't had any issues with it so I figure it's just extra filtration for free.
