I've been using Seachem Paraguard for a week now in my 20 gallon tank with Guppies and Neon Tetras. The fish seem a bit stressed, fins clamped. Should I cut the dose or keep going? Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate.

Fins clamped is sketchy, man. Maybe they're just not vibing with the meds. I'd do a small water change, like 20%, and see if they chill. What's your temp at? Sometimes warmer water helps.

Agreed. Paraguard can be harsh on sensitive fish. I'd reduce the dose by half and monitor for 48 hours. Are you using any carbon in your filter? That could interfere.

Yo, I had the same issue with my Betta. Paraguard is strong stuff. I cut the dose to half and added some StressGuard. Worked like a charm. How often are you dosing?

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Temp is at 78F, no carbon in the filter. I'll try a 20% water change and halve the dose. They're still eating, just not as active.

If they're eating, that's a positive sign. Just keep the lights low and avoid any sudden movements near the tank. Stress can make things worse.

Yep, and maybe throw in some extra hiding spots. Plants or decor can help them feel safer.

Absolutely. Reducing stressors is key. If you don't see improvement in a couple days, consider switching to a milder med like Kanaplex. But hopefully the adjusted dose will do the trick.
