I've been looking into keeping these fish and I'm a bit concerned about their care. I've come across a few articles that suggest they're quite delicate and might be more challenging to look after than malawis - has anyone had any experience with them?

I've had malawis for ages, and I've recently started keeping Tangys for a few months now. To be honest, I'm finding them pretty similar to care for - as long as you keep their water clean and feed them good quality food, they seem to thrive.

I've had a pretty smooth ride with them, just keep an eye out for any fin nipping and make sure you're on top of those water changes - 20% every week works for me. Tangs do need their space, so it's no surprise their tanks are often understocked, this helps prevent nitrates from building up too quickly. They can be a handful, but with the right care, they're amazing fish - just wish it was easier to find decent ones in pet stores.

Still on the hunt for those elusive Neolamprologus Caudopunctatus, I feel your pain, been searching for a while now.
