Who Gives A Fish Forums

Just picked up this awesome open brain at the LFS for a steal - 45 bucks. He's instantly my new favorite in the tank. Now I'm just trying to figure out what he actually is. The store called him a "metallic dome brain," but I couldn't find much info on that.

Love this little guy, though.

Also, I'm curious - will he be okay glued to this rock? I've seen people put them on the sand, but I really like him here. Will that work out alright?

I'm no help with the ID, but I've come across a few warnings that epoxy can irritate the coral if it's in direct contact with the flesh. Don't own a brain coral myself, just passing on what I've read.

I took a closer look and it seems the putty isn't touching the flesh of the coral, and if it is, it's barely making contact.
