Keeping seahorses with coral banded shrimp?

Hi all,
I'm thinking of introducing a coflake banded shrimp to help with my bristleworm issue, but I'm concerned it might be aggressive towards my seahorses. Has anyone got any experience with this?
Thanks,
Lee

I'm not convinced it's a good idea to introduce a coflake banded shrimp to control bristleworms, especially with seahorses in the tank. In my opinion, CBS can be quite aggressive and I'd be concerned about potential conflicts. I've seen these species coexist at the Seattle and Long Beach aquariums, but that's a different story.
From my experience, bristleworms aren't typically a major issue, especially in larger tanks - think 70 gallons or more. If you're really bothered by them, you might consider adding some fish that prey on the worms instead.

I'm not entirely sure if six line wrasses get along with seahorses, but I do know that mine annihilated my bristleworm population in no time. I'm still on the fence about whether that's a good thing or not, though. Bristleworms aren't all bad - despite being ugly, eating fish, and stinging aquarists, they're actually pretty useful scavengers that help clean up leftover food that other tank inhabitants can't reach.
