My bicolor blenny purchase was the best decision i've made in a long time

name says it all, this little fella is literally the most curious and hilarious fish i've ever had. just sits on his rock, watching the world go by, and keeps an eye on everyone - even when you try to sneak up on him from the side.

also, i've noticed something pretty weird - Fluxx, my Nemo who's got a bit of a dark past (lost one mate to a jump and kinda... bullied the other to death), has taken a real shine to this little guy. i mean, it's been hovering above the blenny's home all morning, and every time the blenny goes for a swim, Fluxx is right there, brushing past him. no idea why, but thought it was worth mentioning.

btw, caught that green clown goby in the sump this morning - still alive and kicking, thankfully. net was way too big for the weir, so had to fish him out with my bare hands... not exactly the most fun experience, lol. at least he didn't pull a blenny and jump 2 foot in the air, landing back in the tank like a pro - first hour in the tank and all that, lol.

My clowns are pretty chill with mine too, they let him do his thing. If my chromis get too close to their rock, they're like "nope, not having it", but the blenny's free to swim around, sit on the rock, or even pop into a hole if he wants.

I picked him up from the LFS, he was just sitting in a sea weed holder, staring me down, following me with his eyes to every tank I looked at. I was a goner, had to bring him home. This little guy's got skills, he can reverse out of anywhere in the tank at top speed and shoot back into his hole in a split second. He's also developed a thing for hermit crab shells, loves to sit with his head poking out, usually after a sand-digging session. I swear, if he could talk, he'd sound just like Mr. T.

haha yours looks like a mature blenny, i love it. mine on the other hand is like the young gun, full of energy and always up to something.

btw just got a new sea star with this awesome pattern that looks like red tiles on its back, it's really eye-catching. my blenny's not too thrilled about the new addition though, it's like he's thinking 'hey, i'm the one who's supposed to be the center of attention here'. and to make matters worse, we put a guard on the overflow today, so no more midnight jumping sessions for him. i swear, he had a thing for that overflow box, it was like his favorite pastime. on a side note, had a bit of a struggle with the green coflake goby this morning, it was being super stubborn and refusing to cooperate.

no way, mine's been watching the new sea star like a hawk, not impressed that its stealing the show, and now that we've got the overflow guard in place, no more sneaking in at 3am, i swear he's got a thing for that box, lil guy's got some attitude, i'm surprised he didn't try to jump in this morning, that green coflake goby was a handful, wouldn't cooperate, what a feisty little thing

my blenny is literally obsessed with the overflow, it's hilarious. i've got a gutterguard on it to prevent the starfish from causing chaos and blocking the pipe, but this little guy has found a way to make it his own personal spa. he'll sit there with his tail draped over the gutterguard, his head stuck under the water, and just let the flow of the tank wash over his face like he's some kind of aquatic supermodel.
